Step 1

Step 2

Take the inverse secant of both sides of the equation to extract $x$ from inside the secant.

$x - \frac{π}{2} = arcsec (y)$

Step 3

Add $\frac{π}{2}$ to both sides of the equation.

$x = arcsec (y) + \frac{π}{2}$
